Woman of Steel Checks Silver for Veritas
March 20, 2009
![]() | Woman of Steel Checks Silver for VeritasPat Engelman knows her metals. She hails from the Pennsylvania steel belt where she began her career in accounting and payroll operations having to learn how to finesse the hard-core union culture with its around-the-clock shifts and horned hats - hard hats, too. (Want the story? Ask Pat.)
Just as she knows that steel is made of more than iron, she also knows that payroll operations is more than writing paychecks. In addition to the steel industry, Pat's experience includes the multi-faceted and multi-layered intricacies of payroll functions peculiar to such industries as the real estate, golf, and food services of Florida with their seasonal swings and innumerable variety of compensation.
To her position at Veritas of Director of Payroll Operations, Pat brings more than 23 years of experience. Prior to joining Veritas, she was Manager of Payroll for Bonita Bay Group.
A very early riser (as in, way before daylight), she is a runner, belonging to the Fort Myers Track Club, an avid golfer, and is involved with volunteer work at her church. She is also a member of the American Payroll Association.
Good as Gold. That's the Standard of Veritas.
